Kunshan

Business Area Europe, Coil And Plate Service Center

Small volumes, short lead times and specialty products: Using advanced machinery and processes, Outokumpu’s coil service center in Kunshan exceeds all expectations.
Focusing on non-standard stainless steels from Outokumpu Pro family, the Kunshan Coil Service Center uses precision machinery and tailored packaging to deliver value-added services to the world’s biggest market.

Working with the highly sophisticated Novastilmec cut-to-length machine, Kunshan is equipped to handle thicker, wider coils and efficiently cut large sizes with very good flatness.

The coil to sheet operation has a maximum width of 2,100 mm. Austenitic coil can be cut in thicknesses up to 15 mm and duplex coil can be cut at a thickness of up to 13 mm. Tailored packaging options are designed to meet exacting customer requirements.

Kunshan also functions as a distribution center. A wide range of duplex stainless steels – increasingly popular for their superior strength and corrosion resistance – are stocked there and available with short lead times.

Committed to longstanding partnerships in local markets, Outokumpu Kunshan has earned the trust of its customers. High quality stainless steel and exceptional technical expertise are the core of those relationships.
